Swooning Over Blush Tones
Whenever I am asked to create something for somebody I get really excited, as I am so passionate about what I do.
It is even MORE rewarding and fun when I have the ability to work for a friend, and fellow artist, which is exactly the case with Rebecca and Derrick's wedding invitations. She completely gave me creative control when it came to her invitations and she was so wonderful to work with! I think her only two requests were, gladiolus somewhere, and no black! I was all in...
As soon as she told me about the location of the ceremony at Edison and Ford Winter Estates I was instantly inspired, and wanted to just start painting. Their gardens are soooooo beautiful, and quaint, and private, and it is just a perfect location for a smaller destination wedding, which is exactly what these guys are up to. Mostly family, some close friends, and lots and lots of nature and love, which hello.... sounds pretty perfect.
Rebecca and Derrick decided to do what a lot of couples are doing now, to conserve on postage AND paper (with one less envelope per suite) and that is having a wedding website. Wedding Wire is pretty great when it comes to this, you can completely customize! Add your engagement photos, all your vendors (hey! :) ) add reviews, and have your guests RSVP online. Especially if your day consists of many details, accommodations, travel, rehearsal dinners, next day brunches, etc., this is a perfect way to go.
Their suite feels like a breath of fresh air to me, and I am so thankful they both allowed me to be a part of their big day.
